Moving core server workloads from on-premises infrastructure to AWS

The challenge

Data Steels needed to move server workloads from its on-premises environment to AWS while retaining secure connectivity with its existing site and supporting the business systems used by its team.

What we delivered

The engagement covered discovery and planning for the server migration, establishment and management of the AWS environment, and a staged transition of workloads from the local infrastructure. A site-to-site VPN was created and supported to provide a secure connection between the company location and its AWS resources, allowing the hybrid environment to remain usable during and after migration. Alongside the infrastructure work, we implemented and supported QuickBooks as the ERP and accounting platform for the team. The combined engagement brought cloud migration, secure hybrid connectivity and business-system enablement into one operational plan, followed by ongoing infrastructure management and support.
